Blog 8: Research evaluation reflection. March 19:

Identify a strength from the evaluation of your research paper. Identify an area of growth for the next research paper.

Blog #7: Research reflection #2. Due Saturday, March 10 @ midnight:

  • Once again, identify the author you are researching
  • Discuss how you feel about your research project as you approach the final draft. Possible things to discuss would include what has been most difficult for you, what's been the easiest, what has been the most helpful information/activity to you as you've written the paper.
  • Remember: you do NOT have to include the 5 elements for these reflective blogs.

Blog #6: Research reflection #1. Due Saturday, March 3 @ midnight:

  • Identify the author you are researching
  • Identify at least one interesting thing you have learned about your author.
  • Identify at least one interesting thing you have learned about research methods


Blog entry #5: Final blog over independent reading.Due Friday, February 17 @ midnight.

This blog should have a heading for each bullet listed below.

  • List the major and minor characters (at least 4) and write a paragraph describing them. Included any relevant literary terms, such as protagonist and antagonist. Header will be characters.
  • List a summary of the plot, but do not give away the ending. Heading will be summary.
  • Give the book a rating (1 is poor; 5 is amazingly awesome) and explain your rating. Heading will be rating..
  • Comment on what you think of using this Wiki as a place to discuss your independent reading. Is this a good idea? Not a good idea? Explain as best you can. Heading will be Wiki Reflections

  • Be sure to date each entry. Write down how many pages you have read so far. ("I am on page..."
  • Writing prompt: What do you find is this novel's greatest strength? Explain.
  • Discussion prompt: Quote at least one line or phrase from a classmate's blog and follow up with a comment. Do you really like it? Why? Do you have questions about that line? Ask them. Do you connect with what the blogger says here? Why? Explain. Find two classmates that don't have comments. If all have comments, then add to the discussion on the page.

  • Find a favorite line/paragraph from your literature, quote it, and describe its context and why it is your favorite.

  • Describe a main character in your novel. Discuss your thoughts on this character...be a psychologist and analyze him/her. What issues does this person have? What motivates his/her behaviors? What morality does this character possess?
  • Read and leave comments to TWO of your classmates' blogs. Find two that don't have comments. If all have comments, then add to the discussion on the page.
